Here at Ebro Boat Hire you have access to nigh on 20 kilometres of fishing from Asco to Xerta.

John first fished the River Ebro in 1994 and caught his first cat. The years after that he fished from Amposta to Riba Roja both bank and boat fishing. Over that time he found this particular stretch of river was virtually untouched by any anglers, and still is to this day apart from one or two local fishermen.

John fished this particular stretch of river for the past 12 years, in that time, especially the last 3 years, we have been taking cats up to the magic 200lb mark.

Throughout that 12 years, there has only been 3 repeat catches, so the possibility of well over the 200lb mark is extremely feasible.

If you like your coarse fishing the amount of roach, chubb, carp, black bass and barbel that have been caught far exceeds what John had witnessed before and he held no explanation as to why this is.

If you fancy the boathire we highly recommend a days guiding to familiarise you with the river and the swims where cats have been caught.
